Business Development Manager

As Business Development Manager, you'll have the opportunity to join a fast-growing company and work at the intersection of our business and best brands across the world to grow partnerships and closely affect the way luxury shopping is perceived and delivered in India.

 

Your responsibilities will include defining key segments to target, driving projects and maintaining the key relationships at senior levels of large brands.

 

You'll also work closely with TATA Cliq Luxury’s category managers to influence and grow the segment.

 

You have an excellent ability to think strategically and analytically about business opportunities, and a demonstrated history of initiating and driving high-value partnerships with the largest and most important brands across India. A keen sense of ownership, speedy execution, and initiative is a must. You're comfortable working as a solo contributor / deal lead, as well leading others to drive engagements.

 

What you’ll do –

 

  • You will drive strategic projects’ execution in order to optimize the Buying category/department which is the forerunner department that impacts conversions and margins in our business.
  • You will identify opportunities to improve satisfaction along the customer journey and initiate projects to achieve improvements in CSAT and NPS
  • You are responsible to push strategy in relevant topics of business growth internally, such as cross selling, up selling activities.
  • You will help to create strategic white papers regarding future growth potentials
  • You will support the CM in closing new deals and mange strategic partnerships with brands and supply partners
  • You will have an end-to-end responsibility for several projects: from briefing, over analysis, creation of concepts, and presenting your findings to hunt turn around solutions
  • You will report directly to the Category Manager

 

What you’ll need –

 

  • You are proud of your university degree in business, economics, engineering studies or similar from a top-tier university
  • You have already gained 2-3 years’ work experience in the business development field with a fast-paced startup in retail or e-commerce vertical
  • You have very strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • You possess strong project- and process management skills
  • You have great analytical skills in order to deliver a strong data-driven performance
  • You possess strong problem-solving skills: you enjoy getting to the so-what and beyond the obvious of an analysis and derive recommendations. Be prepared to actively pursue insights that can make a change to our business
